Taught by industry professionals.What you'll learn Industry standard hardware and software. Transferable skills to entertainment, gaming, virtual reality (VR), commercial and industrial productions. Develop real-world industry production work practices. Business of art for profit. Pre-production skills: Writing skills to develop character and story structure. Figure drawing to develop strong drawing skills. Traditional drawing skills used for visual design of environments, characters, storyboards/animatics. Production skills: Laptop computer skills for digital construction, rigging and animating characters. Construction of props and environments with texture and lighting to complete the scene. Camera, rendering and editing techniques to create a finished production. Bring stories and characters to life through cinematic animation.
Grade 12 English, C or U or equivalent Students are required to purchase a specified laptop computer with software and art supply materials for use in the program. Accepted applicants will be notified of details regarding hardware and software purchases to include a digital drawing tablet. Portfolio Submission Preference will be given to applicants that submit a portfolio. Applicants who wish to submit a portfolio should follow the following guidelines 4 Drawings Guidelines Note: Nude Models Nude models are an essential component in every Life Drawing course within the Animation 3D Advanced Diploma program. Students are required, as part of the curriculum, to study life drawing.
