Acquire knowledge, skills and principles to assist physicians in various aspects of cardiac diagnosis through this high demand program. The Cardiovascular Technology program outcomes meet the competencies outlined in the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists National Competency profile (CSCT NCP). How to perform cardiovascular tests such as electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, pacemaker/cardiac device follow-up, ambulatory BP monitoring and ECG event/ loop monitoring.
OSSD or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading, GED) including: Grade 12 English, C or U or equivalent Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology (MCT4C) or any U level Grade 11 or 12 Physics Grade 11 or 12 Biology Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry Health Occupations Aptitude Exam (HOAE) Effective for the Fall 2021 entry and moving forward, the HOAE will no longer be required for admissions purposes.
