Program Description

In this two-year diploma program, you will be training for an exciting career as a chemical technician gaining hands-on experience needed to perform your duties with the precision required in a broad range of industries. With our campus located in Sudbury, Ontario, the mining capital of Canada, our program has a unique focus that will build your knowledge and skills in analytical, inorganic and organic chemistry, and laboratory techniques. You will learn industry-standard lab practices through group work and independent studies, including sampling, analysis, proper use of instruments, quality assurance/quality control, and health and safety.

Admission Requirements

For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including: Any grade 12 English (C) or (U) Any grade 12 mathematics (C) or (U) (MCT4C) is highly recommended) Any grade 11 chemistry (U) or grade 12 chemistry (C) or (U) Recommended: Any grade 12 physics (C) or (U) Computer competency in relevant software
