Program Description

Imagine pursuing your passion in the highly creative industry of Visual Merchandising Arts, the art and science behind retail design and development. Graduates will combine the arts of window display, prop making, graphic design, event planning, and photo styling with the science of floor planning, branding, marketing, and entrepreneurship in both bricks and mortar and virtual retail environments. Visual merchandising is the process of creating an inviting and interactive environment for the consumer using a variety of mediums, materials, software, and technologies. The Visual Merchandising Arts program offers a field placement for students to gain industry experience and to build external partnerships.

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.) Grade 12 compulsory English, C (65%) or U (55%), or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1250), or equivalent
